DOM & TOM PROFILE #4: Joe Tancredi, Project Manager of D&T Chicago
Question #1 What super-powers allowed you access to the secret lair of D&T NYC Office - ominously named "TREEFORT"?
I work in the Chicago office so I have never been given access to the Treefort. I would like to one day but to be honest I’m not holding my breath on that one. [Joe is actually part of the Chicago office, ominously named "THE FORGE"!]
#2 What are you doing here? I mean, it's cool, but really, what are you doing here?
I am a project manager/bouncer. I discipline unruly developers and focus on keeping happy clients.
#3 If you threw a party and could invite anyone, who's coming to the party?
Barack Obama, The Prime Minister of Israel, and the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the party wouldn’t end until we hashed out something that works for everyone.
#4 If you were a mythical animal, would you be a Lyger or a Brontosaurus?
Neither – I would be a Hippogriff like in Harry Potter, except I wouldn’t let people ride on my back.
#5 Name your fav ice cream flavor.
Neapolitan, I love Neapolitan – the best part is eating all the vanilla and chocolate and letting the strawberry flavor sit in the fridge for months.
#6 If your life was a movie, what genre would it be? (romantic comedy, horror, documentary, etc)
EPIC genre. Actually, the movie 300 was based on my life. From my younger days when I had to protect Sparta from the Persian army of King Xerxes. The 80s were a rough time for all of us I think.
#7 What's the most competitive boardgame ever?
Hungry Hungry Hippos. I can’t tell you how many friends I’ve lost playing that game.
#8 Water Parks or Amusement Parks?
Amusement Parks definitely. I can never find a two piece that fits me so I avoid water parks.
#9 How powerful are Fortune Cookies in your decision-making process?
I don’t trust Fortune Cookies. I base most of my decisions on my own keen intellect and advice from knowledgeable professionals like Wayne Hummer Investments Corp.
#10 What is the best way you get your news?
I get all of my news from another project manager by the name of Audrey Dimola. She tells me everything from the weather to reminding me to floss between meals. If I want to know what I should be doing, she tells me. No one else ever seems to want to talk to me. Which is okay by me.
